Showcasing My Work
Below are links to the professional and educational projects that I worked on during my Master's program. These works have helped guide me toward becoming the educator I am today. These projects offer a glimpse of my thoughts as a teacher, professional, and student, and showcase what I can bring to the classroom in regard to classroom management practices, technology integration, and research. The categories consist of management changes I tried, Special Education projects, case studies, and websites that I created to share research and information.
Classroom Management
This document is an example of my conscious examination and evolution of my teaching style and my philosophy in teaching. The document entitled Growth Mindset Reflection is a piece that shows the growth I made as an educator while implementing Growth Mindset practices and techniques in my daily instruction and management style. This document demonstrates my thoughts on a progressive and continuously growing classroom and how I believe the students' effort, rather than innate ability, has a lot to do with a child's success.
Sparking my Interest in Special Ed
These documents incorporate research, work, and inquires that I did to continuously grow as a teacher and learner.
The Inquiry Project- Accommodations was a project that I worked on in order to learn about accommodations for exceptional students, and how to adapt my instruction based on the need of a child who was struggling due to over-stimulation. The Child Study was my first attempt to gain knowledge, formative data, and information on a child to see how I could best support their learning, a kind of first step toward understanding the RTI process.
The Autism pamphlet was created so I could better understand how to meet the needs of learners who may (or may not) be diagnosed on the ASD spectrum. This pamphlet offers the reader information on what Autism is, what it is not, and gives additional resources to help guide the reader toward understanding this challenging disorder.
Lastly, the document entitled Writing Inquiry Project was where I started working with the same student from my Child Study focusing specifically on his writing and sharing of information. This was a first shot at doing Tier 1 and 2 interventions with a student, early on in my teaching career.

Case Studies on Students who Struggled
These documents below are case studies in which I researched concepts, examined behaviors, and researched ways in which I could provide additional support. These projects revolved around the literacy skills of one specific struggling reader in a prior class throughout my years as an educator. I implemented best practice literacy strategies and analyzed the students' work, then summarized what I found. I am especially proud of the Literacy Assessments PDF project due to the extensive time and effort I put into assessing this one student's difficulties with literacy.
